The Lemon Press is one of only a handful of university satire publications in the UK, and has a history of excellence. We are one of York’s most established print media organisations, printing four times a year. But don’t worry – we don’t limit ourselves to old-fashioned printing. We also do digital stuff, like this very website! We have an active social media presence and produce video content from time to time.
Being part of The Lemon Press is collaborative, it’s a great way to get involved with Student Politics and other Media Societies. Large groups of our members often end up getting behind an ironic SU election candidate. We hold joint socials with other societies, such as our regular poetry jams with Slam Poetry Society.
Whether you want to write satire, make videos, learn photo editing skills, gain leadership experience, or just be a member of a light-hearted society of like-minded individuals, The Lemon Press is for you. Whatever your interests may be, there is a way to satirise them!
At the heart of The Lemon Press is one core mission: to see life for what it truly is – a joke.
